I didn't like folding here, not too many hands on villain, but he seemed solid enough and can't remember any mistakes in the brief time at the table. Have trouble putting him on anything other than a set, can't see him making this shove with A10. Any thoughts?
EDIT: Revisiting, I suppose he could have AKcc or A10cc?

you can cbet smaller to ~17bb . they will fold the same amount and if you get shoved on you lose less. When they call you can help keep the pot smaller

I think either a set or AT for me.

Still good fold. Many hands beat you with his move.

Only AT and a bluff you beat (preflop).

When an line makes no sense, it's obviously hard to put the player on a likely range, So basically, all we know is the pot odds, which are only a little better than 1:1. At the table, lets us estimate that the card odds we need to call are nearly 50:50. So it comes down to guessing if you're there against a range that's very hard to estimate.

I fold, partly because against someone who makes such a strange play, I think there's a pretty good chance I'll have better spots.

I think you have to fold, even if villain has a hand as bad a Ac5c i'm still not excited about it - good players can find better spots then this.

That guy is shoving for a reason. You need a lot more hands to put him on a range but I am guessing he has a set or a monster draw. The range of a decent TAG from UTG is 22+, suited connectors, suited aces, AJ+.
When he is shoving against 2 guys OOP after a 3-bet preflop, sets and monster draws like QcJc make sense. The effective stacks are just too small for a reraise.

Why do we want him to fold when we have an over pair to the board? Shouldn't we be betting to get value from worse hands (like AT, KT, QT, JT, 77, 88...).

I think betting smaller so you lose less when you get jammed on is the wrong idea. I like his bet size, because it gets you a little bit more $$ against the worse hands that are likely calling you here.

100bbs deep and this is a bit closer, but ~150 and it's a snap fold.

you really just can't call here.

Do you have the best hand sometimes? yeah.

But when the best case scenario is AcTc I don't even want to think about the worst case scenario (when you drawing to TWO outs)

your just to deep to stack off.
