10NL 6-max zoom on pokerstars. Villain is unknown.

BTN: $10.38
SB: $6.72
BB: $11.82
UTG: $10.00
MP: $10.61
Hero (CO): $26.74

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with T:heart: T:club:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, BB raises to $0.95, Hero calls $0.65

Flop: ($1.95) 2:heart: Q:diamond: T:diamond: (2 players)
BB bets $1.90, Hero raises to $25.79 all in

What do you think about the way hero played this hand? My logic for the overbet shove was: I was trying to disguise the strength of my hand by representing a semi-bluff (flush draw or straight draw). I thought that if I min-raised or even made a normal sized raise, it would look too strong, thus I shoved to make it look like I was just trying to scare him away. Did I overthink this? Would a small raise, or even a smooth call, have been better?

I see opponents call off lighter in this scenario all the time but it's a double edged sword.
He might lay down a mediocre hand like A10, whereas he might call a normal raise.
Or maybe he will just fold instead of coming back over the top.

The correct decision is based on how well you know you're opponent.

I don't mind it, when he bets pot on this flop he is probably not looking to fold. I would probably just go for a more standard sizing though unless I had a read on villain

It's definitely not bad because it looks draw-y. But I think the more wacko you look, the more often you'll get paid. If we work out some sort of EV calculation for getting paid off infrequently, yet with much more money against getting paid off frequently with much less money, I bet it would come out somewhat equally. Of course there are so many factors that increase or decrease payoff frequencies such as meta factors, opponents range (the more they hit this board the better), etc.

It's a judgment call based on these factors, me thinks.
