$10 NL HE 6-max: Other alternatives here?
Ok so we are 5 at the table (no stats on villain)
Villain is small blind with 9.40$
I am UTG with 10.74$
I am dealt 88 and i raise to 35 cents.
Button, sb and bb call
Flop: 2H Ac 5C
My reasoning is that at micro stakes, 3 others in a pot and there is an ace out there, likely one of these guys also holds an ace.
If we were heads up I would have c-bet on an uncoordinated board like that.
So I check and it gets checked all around
Turn: 7S
Pot: 1.40$
sb and bb check to me and so I figure I likely have the best hand now so I raise one dollar.
BB re-raises to 4$, everyone else folds
After having seen him call out of the SB, and check it around twice, I figured my eights were good and he was trying a re-raise bluff.
I figured he gave me lots of info with his preflop call, didnt hit something and his 2 checks confirmed it for me, so I call.
River: Jc
So a flush is out there now possibly. Thinking back, he didnt bet at all the first 2 streets, then reraised, but would he have played a flush draw like that? would he have reraised a flush draw like that?
he bets 5.10$ all in and I call, he turns over a set of two's.
My mistake as I see it: I built a big pot without a big hand and I had no real draws to improve to a better hand.
My river call may not have been thought out properly but I dont think my play beforehand may have been bad necesarily.
Your thoughts gents?
