hi guys. im really not sure if this is a +EV all in call.
the player had sat down about 5 hands before so i had no reads at all on him as my hud starts at 10 hands. all i knew is that he sat in for 50bb and so i figured theres a good chance hes a shove monkey
i tanked a lot on the call as i couldnt help but feel i may be beat but knowing i have blockers to his hands like AQ, AA and the Ks for the nut flush draw i made the call.
thoughts plz folks
thanks

Was your plan to raise/fold? Why did you raise if you weren't potentially looking to get it in? I think it's fine against a half stack that pots this flop. Think you'll find a lot of Ax and draws in his range more than two pairs.

No I just figured that if he has a raggy-ish ace he'd be more happy to check call to get to showdown and hope that I would slow down through the streets. So when he shoves it just makes me feel a little more like he's ultra strong (2pair plus)
You have however highlighted a key leak in my game. As I usually play 4 tables I do have a tendency not to take time to plan out what I will do after I've raised/checked etc
So already it's been well worth posting this hand.
Thanks again

YW. How often do you think a half stack player in your games is going to bet into the PFR for a pot sized bet with two pair+? I'd assume most players on a flop texture like this with two pair + would check and slow play more often then lead with that hand.

We're ahead on the flop wayyy more than enough times for this to be an easy call vs shorty. Tons of Ax worse than ours, gutters, flush draws, and the occasional Qx turning his hand into a bluff + pure airs bluffs once in a blue moon.

Oh and we don't want blockers like Ks here lol. That means less flush draws. We want flush draws in his range.
