PokerStars - $0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

BTN: 81.7 BB (VPIP: 29.31, PFR: 15.79, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, hands: 58)
SB: 86 BB (VPIP: 7.69, PFR: 7.69, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 13)
BB: 151 BB (VPIP: 15.20, PFR: 9.60, 3Bet Preflop: 2.56, Hands: 128)
Hero (UTG): 262.9 BB
MP: 147.1 BB (VPIP: 16.36, PFR: 14.55, 3Bet Preflop: 14.29, Hands: 58)
CO: 112.5 BB (VPIP: 24.32, PFR: 16.22, 3Bet Preflop: 9.68, Hands: 78)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K:heart: K:club:

Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, BTN raises to 10.5 BB, fold, BB raises to 151 BB and is all-in

BB seems fairly nitty. I doubt we are ever facing a hand weaker than QQ. I don't think he does this with AK often.

I agree. I did actually fold. I just find it hard to think he could do this QQ unless hes on tilt.

Could be bluff, but my instincts say fold. I obviously don't know the players involved. In a tournament I would call as you cannot be scared of running in aces, (My theory anyway), but here I would fold.

Do you know the outcome of the hand? Interesting to find out what happened? :) :) :)

Meh the fact you were Utg and deep means I would also very reluctantry fold making a large note against this vill so If I see him doing it too often its an insta call and his whole stack next time.

wow unbelievable laydown there. And all you guys think it is right play ??

I think you guys might be correct but i cannot possibly think how i could have avoided making that call. I would have snapped off but then i am a fish ... lol :pcguru:

There was a post recently asking if there was any situation one would fold pocket kings pre flop and i said "only when someone put a gun to my head". Or else i am just not folding KK pre flop.

So i stick with my cowboys.

Open shoving in 150 big blinds seems like a pretty bad move whether you have Aces or a trashy hand.

If you have aces, you're gonna force most hands to fold and won't get any value outta the aces. Very occasionally, someone will call the open shove but not often enough to make it worth open shoving aces.

The BB is probably a bad player. I don't think we have enough evidence to assume that he will only do this with Aces. If the BB is bad enough to open shove 150 big blinds in, he probably has a few trashy hands in his shoving range as well as aces. You said it yourself. Sometimes he has qq and ak. Maybe even more hands. If he even occasionally would open shove with these hands, the odds are already in your favor.

It's also unlikely for the button to have aces even though he's never 3 bet before. I'd expect the majority of 10nl players to 3 bet with more than just aces.

I'd say it's a call.

If he wasn't so nitty, then just a range of KK+/AK you're a favorite of course. The problem is, this guy this deep probably doesn't shove AK often enough. So with only 3 BBs invested, I'd fold it too (but definitely kick a pregnant cat while doing it). ;)

Wow, that is an incredible laydown. I just noticed that this was 6-max. I've only played full ring, would this usually make this more of a call or less?

For full-ring I'd say it's 100% AA hoping to cooler you. But with the dynamics of 6-max, do players generally get it in lighter? The other guy with QQ would probably think he's sitting pretty and that he couldn't get *that* cold-decked 6-handed.

Always trust your instincts. If he is a rock, then it is AA most of the time. I would want to see his hand though so I will call this for the 1st time. :)

So that's villains entire range is it? QQ and nothing else?

Go and play with the worms in the garden.

Well, if his range has QQ in it then it doesn't matter what else he might also turn over. There's only one hand in the game you're not crushing and QQ by itself will offset enough the frequency which you run into it. That being said, it's an odd way to play queens and that's not a hand I'd really expect villain to show up with.

100bb deep i'm always stacking off here but since villain is 150 deep and doesn't seem quite understanding of representative handstrenght I think he has AA here pretty often.

huh, what's cool is your liike 51% vs. QQ-AA, AKs, but if you add three combos of AKo your 57% , but i like your fold (def harder in real action to that down.
