No, your flop raise should've been bigger and your turn bet much bigger. Why do you always bet small with value hands? You are missing a ton. I want to make my special 1k post about that shit, so keep adding strength to boost my post count :p

River is tricky but I just can't fold getting 4.1:1, need to be good < 20% of times, maybe you aren't but w/e impossible to quantify that without more info on villain. At least you can get a valuable read by calling :D

+1 to bigger sizing everywhere, as played I never fold river. Plenty of hands improved but the price you're getting is way too good. Just the busted FDs are enough to make this a call.

$1.60 on flop, pot is now $3.90, $3 on turn.

(Today I'm in "why" mode)

Why a larger preflop raise? Isn't 3xbb standard? Are we trying to build a pot? Who is going to call a much larger preflop raise?

You should be in 'why' mode every day! :)

pf is fine, though you could probably make it 4x, doesn't matter much.

People call, it's what they do.

Fish is sitting in the BB with 9Ts, and they see a 3bb open, will they call? Yes.

They see a 4bb open, will they call? Yes.

So to continue this line...
When villain bets .30, we raise more than 4x the raise because if he's going to call 1.20, he'll call 1.50-1.80? Is a larger bet also intended to size the pot so that by the river we can get our stack all-in?

You asked about preflop, and my reply was in regards to pf as well, not the flop.

That's exactly what the bet is intended to do. Yield better immediate value, and build the pot so we can get more value on later streets.
