Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 20/12/36 (41)

Merge - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3
UTG: $19.42
BTN: $10.50
SB: $10.00
Hero (BB): $11.74
SB posts SB $0.05, Hero posts BB $0.10
Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has J J
fold, BTN raises to $0.20, SB raises to $0.70, Hero calls $0.60, fold
Flop: ($1.60, 2 players) 4 7 3
SB bets $1.20, Hero calls $1.20
Turn: ($4.00, 2 players) 5
SB bets $3.00, Hero???

My plan was to re-raise the BTN(Which was an idiot) but SB beat me to it. Is a call ok here or should we 4bet with JJ? Villain seem to be your normal standard player over the few hands observed. Should I have taken a stab at it on the flop?

4-bet pre. As played I'd give up on the turn.

AK with As prob..

don't think you're ahead here, let it go.

4 bet pre, ranges are so much wider here you might be able to call off..

(I'm not a 6max player so don't slaughter me about that)

your mistake imo was calling the 3bet. You need to raise or fold pre

I fold pre.
I've no reason to believe a 20/12 is 3bet bluffing normally especially not vs a huge fish.

Fold > Call > 4bet

As played the turn is a snap fold. QQ+/AK never have worse flushes, we only beat bluffs.
