$10 NL HE 6-max: JJ in SB facing 4-bet, deep

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 28/24/4

Only 50 hands on villain. Second time I've 3-bet him, he folded first time. I'm completely lost here. Any ideas?

Well given your small sample size on him I'd just make an assumption based on the average 24/20 at this level. I have a feeling they don't 4bet bluff often enough to make stacking JJ this deep +EV, but that 3betting for value is still fine, ie they call lots vs 3bets rather than 4bet/fold.

So are we folding? What about set-mining? We only have to call $1 in to a $4 pot with $15 behind.

egh, wrong person to ask about the maths side. I think I read it was 11 or 12:1 implied required which makes it look like it's worth a call. Actually tbh I didn't notice just how small his reraise was.

I think if you can expect him to 4bet bluff some of the time, flatting and peeling one on a good flop is ok, but otherwise I would have said just fold it without realizing we're getting odds to set mine.

I would call hope we hit the set.
If we dont I would think about putting a feeler bet non ace high flop because technically he could be overplaying AK a lot of players at that limit do .

If the ace does come im not sure , the ace may be a good card , possible villian has KKQQ at a long shot he may even have JJ and may fold to a bet but players at this limit overrate pocket pairs on dangerous boards so he might even be willing to get all his money in with KK or QQ against an ace .
