It's possible he has something like A, J or K, J. It would be hard to fold after the river but your pot odds are not very good at that point. I would ahte myself later but I would fold after the big bet on the river.

I would put them on a J considering the flop re-raise, I am sure they think they have TP and the J on the river seals it. I would fold.

I also get shoved off many hands I shouldn't, lol.

He rarely has a Jack but you're still rarely good. I'd say he has a set and you were beat from the flop on. 16/11 is really tight for 6-max, right? Do you think he even flats an UTG open with AJ/KJ?? Doubtful unless your image is spewtard.

When he shoves that river, he's hoping you have a Jack. You're beat. You can fold now.

Yeah unfortunately I put him on a set.

With the river bet I knew I was beat regardless.

Obv. folded by then.

Im trying to determine if he has a set enough that a flop shove is bad.

im thinking AJs+ KJs+ 22-TT would be in his range of calls pre-flop here? No? Am I way off base.

It felt like he had 55.

Forgot about his stats so yeah this is never a Jack. The shove is quite beautiful actually as it's highly likely that you have a Jack or an over pair you don't want to fold.

How is this never a jack?

IMO - most of the time villian has a jack.

Do most extremely tight players flat UTG opens with AJ/KJ???
I missed the part about him being extremely tight and was wondering the same thing.
I only play FR but I have KJ / AJ flat call my raises.
And don't say it's because their PT3 says I am a donk.

Yeah but a 16/11 at 6-max is like a 11/8 at FR. Those guys rarely flat an UTG open with an easily dominated hand like AJ/KJ.

And yes Atlanta it could be JJ.

Thanks, and I might have to check out 6max...and stop calling 4x BB raises with KJ.

So it's down to 55 or JJ?

Either way I think the aces were crushed on the flop.

The river only added to the decimation.

So he wont call with AJs or KJs but he'll call with 22?

That's kinda stretchin it.

imo
Not if he is set mining, as he can easily ditch it after the flop for fairly cheap if he misses. If he hits he is pretty sure he is getting paid as the hero already claimed a strong hand.
I think...

Like Pooffy said above 22 is easy to play postflop. Set it or forget it. AJ/KJ is much tougher even in position.

We can probably fold the turn, that's just gross.
