$10 NLHE 6-max: I'm IP with TT facing a min 4bet

Villain stats = 18/16 over 109 hands with a fold to 3bet of 100% (2 hand sample size).

I 3-bet assuming that the limper would fold and that there was a high likelihood that the villain would as well. 16% PFR puts villain's range at something like: 33+,A3s+,KTs+,A7o+. So my TT should be pretty solid against villain if he calls.

But he 4bets a tiny bit over double my 3bet. This narrows his range but I'd assume without having any other information to the contrary that if he had KK or AA he'd 4bet bigger than min.

1) Do you think that's a valid assumption?

2) My thinking in calling was that I had position, I only had to call a relatively small amount to see the flop, and I could evaluate my options after the flop. I don't want to show any more PF aggression and risk having to put even more money in PF or have to fold. What do you think about that line of thinking?

Merge - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: $34.08
CO: $10.06
Hero (BTN): $10.15
SB: $10.05
BB: $12.44

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has T T

UTG raises to $0.28, CO calls $0.28, Hero raises to $1.27, fold, fold, UTG raises to $2.75, fold, Hero calls $1.48

Hate it.

Fold to the 4 bet. If you were playing 300bb deep it would be fine, but his range is so skewed here towards AA-KK its not funny, he might have AK the odd time, but just fold.

There's nothing at all tiny about the 4-bet, BTW. What exactly is your plan for a hand after you put in 27% of you stack pre?

Just for the record when people do these silly min 4bets or min 5bets, it is more likely to be KK,AA for sure, so your thinking is a little off there. They do this because they have a monster and don't wanna scare you away.

As said already dont 3bet here, you knew he was going to fold most of the time so you cant call 3betting for value and we can 3bet bluff with worse hands that we cant call with profitably. Plus having TT is super fun and we dont want to scare the limper out of the pot, because he's probably a fish.

Use you position and CALL preflop. After you get 4bet, FOLD!!!

Without any real history versus a pretty tight player like this just let him have it, i.e. fold to the 4bet. As tenbob said, if his range is weighted towards what we think (the nuts) there is no way that you can make money here calling a 4bet 100 deep.

And this too. If you don't know what you are going to do when 4bet definitely don't 3bet with a hand that has this much value. You just ask for a disaster like this. 3bet here instead with something like A6s, easy fold when 4bet. And 3bet with the nuts obv also.
