No not at all if anything you bet too much. If he had something like A9 or a small PP he prob would of folded on your turn bet for sure. The flop bet was perfect.

You got lucky that you were playing a fish and he would call that much with A high. You were unlucky that he sucked out. No you played it fine IMO.

on the flop the pot is 3.5$ and you bet 1.6$, which is too small i think. giving the fact that we know he had AQs i would have probably called with the got shot here because you don't show much strength, that bet looks like a week c-bet and maybe he had some historie on you which made him believe you ware trying to buy the pot.

since he already shown strength when he reraised you, why not bet almost pot on the flop? he could easily have TT or AT giving him a open ended straith draw. ofc when he picks up the flush draw on the turn to go along with his gut shot he thinks he is good because he is a fish. tough luck. but i still think you should have bet more on the flop.

so your saying you want him to fold ??? Instead of getting full value out of the hand?

I'm not keen on flatting the 3bet OOP - either 4bet planning to get it in ASAP if he flats on a low board/with a set or fold if he's not 3 betting worse IMO.

Anyway, the way you've played it:

As you're betting for value on a pretty dry board I like the small bet; you're looking to get value from AK, QQ, AJ, AA, plenty of which may reraise.

I'm hating the turn - you've got the second nuts on the turn and you try to take down the pot by shoving? If anything you got lucky with him calling and you being ahead - the only thing that's calling there is AA or KK IMO. Bet half pot again, planning to get it in.

If he flats turn, get it in on the river; so few hands beat you on that board.

For future postings, please include some more reads on villain; stuff like 3bet %, fold to c-bet, info on whether he's likely to bet into you on the turn if you check to him, etc, helps a lot :)

Im with Pascal on the 3bet flat pre. With some Hx I can see flatting here but very rarely. On the flop Im betting closer to 2/3 pot here as he's shown aggression already and Im taking him to value town. The turn Im looking to get it in here almost always when we're 100x but with effective stacks at 220x and with flatting his 3bet pre we're in a different place. Did you make any notes on him? Looks like the kinda guy you want at a table
