$10 NL HE 6-max: How to maximize cash in this hand?

Playing this hand, the biggest question that I have is, when the villian bet there, would a flat call given me more profit down the road? Or was the reraise the proper play?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.10(BB) Replayer
Hero ($3.90)
BB ($4)
UTG ($3.70)
UTG+1 ($3.41)
CO ($2.62)
BTN ($2.06)

Dealt to Hero 6:diamond: 6:heart:

fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.30, CO calls $0.30, BTN calls $0.30, Hero calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20

FLOP ($1.50) 3:heart: 6:club: 8:diamond:

Hero checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets $0.90, CO folds, BTN folds, Hero raises to $3.60 (AI), BB folds, UTG+1 folds

Hero shows 6:diamond: 6:heart:

Hero wins $3.08

You could have called the flop and shoved the turn, and I think he's more likely to call it off.

Don't setmine at shortstack tables. Can't we just as well shove preflop with any two cards and $1 already in the pot, heh? I don't know how often they'd be calling at those tables.

Yeah this and shoving the flop is fine, multiway pot and someone usually has an overpair or wont fold AQ.

Yeah set-mining is real thin here because of the stack sizes. As played, I'd just call-check. No point in calling and shoving the turn... Calling the flop can represent a lot of straight draws here. Checking the turn shows weakness and induces bluffs, and if it gets checked behind you can get value on the river when your river bet looks bluffy.

The question of how to play this very much depends upon the flop texture. The flop is pretty dry here apart from straight draws. On a wetter board, like a two-tone board with 2 high cards, you'd want to play the hand as you did. On this board, you might consider the line I just suggested.

Truth. Also since stacks are so short you could reraise to like $2+ to hopefully get a call and shove the turn no matter what card comes up

They're all short-stacks at that table, lol. Not really a good game OP, unless you have 3-4 massive fish there. Buy in for 100 bbs please.
