SB bets $0.20, Hero raises to $0.70, SB raises to $1.30, Hero folds

How would you play in such situation? I don't want to play a huge pot when he shows resistance.
Thoughts?

I think you played well until your fold. Its a very small raise and there are a lot of good turn cards for you with your backdoor flush and straight draw not forgetting you could actually be ahead with top pair. Because youre so deep you can definitely call, see a turn card and see what happens. You only have to call $0.60 into a pot of $2.80 so youre getting almost 5:1

Well, your argument seems fine, but once they go for donk/3bet line its nuts as i have seen so far.

Id agree that most of the time hes gunna have a very strong hand but that should be more incentive to chase speculative draws as the price youre getting is so good and the implied odds are massive, being so deep.

I don't raise the flop. I'm pretty passive, but it seems wrong to raise to me. I just call the flop. Mostly call turns and rivers, but if my hand improves I might raise either one, or fold if the board plays out badly.

Imo he could of had a draw, could of had a set too, but i dont think u should of raised there to see where ur at in the hand, i would have actually called for pot control, and as the previous post u have backdoor draws if ur behind, but when someone donk bets on that board i would figure he could be doing it with a set or a draw or two pair, maybe he slow played aces cuz it was a btn raise who even knows. The raise was not terrible, its just as valid as a call, just might call since u have no info on him, plus u dont want to set him up to another raise when its possible ur best if hes drawing :p and maybe call him down all the way if its blanks, he would likely 3bet AK

I'm not raising to see where i stand. I'm doing it for value.

If you have AK here, youre also calling?

Id flat the min 4 bet on the flop and continue the hand in position. You have back door flush possibilities and the chance that he is on a draw himself. If a blank hits turn and he keeps barreling biggish,i fold.

He certainly has hands like 10Jd in his range here, or could be doing this with just the FD. I flat the 4 bet and play from there. The raise is debatable, but I think it's fine given how small his donk bet was.

So yeah, I like a call in this spot.

It's hard with 171 eff bb's, but villain value range here is JTd, set of 3's and a few combo's of KQ. Hard to believe villain would raise a JTo hand here because of the flush draw. I'll discount A high flush draws because he didn't 3bet pre. So his range has more air in it than value hands imo.
