I'd be jamming this river for sure and I'd expect a hand like JQ is going to call me. If the villain had 2 pairs or a set, I would've expected him to bet the turn to protect his hand against a 4th club, so we can eliminate pretty much all boats from his range and assume that he has either trips or air.

Just flat... Shoving here requires more information than we have available on player tendencies etc. Shoving is very thin value, which is ok, but that is a much more read based play.

I more or less agree with above though, hence why Im not folding, except that villain betting a set here depends on player tendencies again. Some bad passive players would pot control here against the made flush with sets then take this line.

Kinda a terrible board to check raise, given how drawy it is & how blank the turn is, no? One of those hands where you'd want to get the $ in before the action killing card comes.

I suppose you can count this as trolling as well.

Bet the turn!

As played, what was your reasoning for checking the river? Was it to induce a bluff? Because you feared a raise? Didn't think he'd call a bet?

I wasnt afraid on any street but I checked turn to get value from hands he would fold to a barrel. I checked river because he probably has a lot of Jx hands here that he would just call with that he will also bet. I dont expect to see a bluff on river. I expect a lot of Jx but I just cant imagine villain has a boat too often. He has too bet turn with 2p and sets. He was aggressive too so that definitely factored in. I agree bet/bet/bet isnt going to be bad but these types of villains also dont fold to check raises too often.

If you think he'll call the bet on the river, then just bet the river UNLESS you think he'll also call a ch/raise with with hands that you beat. I doubt it.

Players float IP a lot and fold to a doublr barrel a lot at these stakes. Giving him a a chance to hang himself/make a stronger hand. Maybe barreling is better against this villain though.
