Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 30/20/3

I thought "Don't loose 1BI with top pair here." Not sure if that was too wimpy. Had another hand vs Villain a bit earlier which went to showdown. Villain called Turn and checked river with 2ndPairWK... That one (unfortunately?) influenced my decision.

Full Tilt - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: $3.84 (VPIP: 30.00, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 13.46, hands: 124)
Hero (UTG): $7.19
CO: $3.47 (VPIP: 17.27, PFR: 11.82, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 114)

SB: $7.47 (VPIP: 29.49, PFR: 19.23, 3Bet Preflop: 4.17, Hands: 80)

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has A:diamond: A:spade:

Hero raises to $0.15, fold, fold, fold, BB calls $0.10

I think a fold here is fine. Doubtful he's shoving with anything you beat here. What's his AF?

Could he have pocket 8? 78? Seems to be the only hands that make sense. (Assuming he's not a bluffy type capable of river bluff shove)

If he has a set, he'd probably be raising your big bet on the turn and looking to get it in on the river.

I would have raised more on the flop and less on the turn.

I also think fold is fine here so you played the hand nice and maybe he got the nuts 80% :)

I was talking about these sort of spots with John A last night, at micro levels most players are only just learning how to float and bluff. The majority don't know how which means big bets often mean 'exactly what they say on the tin'. Fold unless you know he is capable of bluffing, on his hand there is also 4 to a straight out there on show which makes this hand a clear fold.

snap fold. SNAP!!! fold. his range is super wide(esp since he just flats your raise pre in BB, there are all sorts of small suited connectors your losing by). So many hands you lose from here
