$10 NLHE 6-max: Flopped set 3bet pot 220BBs deep

partypoker - $0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): 220.1 BB
SB: 239.9 BB
BB: 261.9 BB
UTG: 358.5 BB
MP: 97 BB
CO: 101.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 5:diamond: 5:club:

fold, MP raises to 2.5 BB, fold, Hero calls 2.5 BB, fold, BB raises to 12 BB, fold, Hero calls 9.5 BB

Flop: (27 BB, 2 players) 6:heart: 5:heart: 2:diamond:
BB bets 14.1 BB, Hero raises to 40.5 BB, BB calls 26.4 BB

Turn: (108 BB, 2 players) A:diamond:
BB checks, Hero bets 51.3 BB, BB calls 51.3 BB

River: (210.6 BB, 2 players) Q:diamond:
BB bets 136.4 BB, Hero calls 116.3 BB and is all-in

When he squeezes from bb vs a mp open at theses stakes very few people have a 3bet/squeeze range that contain any bluffs. So I'm pretty certain he has a big hand. I would assign him a range of AQs+,JJ+(?).

I prefer to raise the flop because there are bad turn cards that may either halt the action or discourage my opponent from continuing. Also If I raise a blank turn say the 10c it looks very strong in a 3bet pot this deep while in position, IMO. And of course if I did have a draw I am more likely to raise flop and the not turn. Villain should know this so getting called otf should be easier than getting called ott.

:ad4: isn't the greatest turn card. If villain had JJ-KK the Ad might kill my action. And if villain has AA then I'm dead. Villain could have AhQh, AhKh but that's only two combos and I don't think he calls the flop raise with AhKx. When he flats turn I don't think I should be eliminating JJ-KK from his range. I know we are deep and he's oop and could (will) face pressure otr but I don't think he cares.

bkfd doesn't scare me but the :qd4: is another bad card. When he donk jams I don't know what he could be turning into a bluff given the range I assigned him pre flop.

Looks very standard. If you are not known for air agro bursts villain would raise sets latest on the turn. So you lose to QQ and 78d -> 4 combos.

I don’t know what hand villain will bet, no stats at all making it even more difficult, but that should not matter too much given you need to win ~25% of the time.

dont call reraise 12 bb preflop with 55 this is -ev long run, or you need to win 100 bb 8 times 12 bb when you hit set to justify it. play small pp only cheap

He is getting implied multiplier 23x in position, is there different rules for deep stack play? He needs to win 220 bb 23 times 9.5
