Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 19/17/3.7

I often lead out with my sets OOP trying to build a big pot especially with fish in the hand

Any comments as to whether to raise or call on the flop?

Definitely raise on this board to protect your hand against flush draws.
MP probably had a flush draw after his call on the flop but through your big re-raise there he was smart enough to fold it.
A call there would be the wrong play because you would give them the turn way to cheap and they can improve easily with another diamond.

good hand imo, agreed with post above raise and lead with small sets, i like this board structure with set if someone improve to flush you can improve to full, so that's good spot to trap villains, well if you win you doing allright.

setmining oop is an error you should be 3betting.
less likely getting paid oop with sets

after that simply get stacks in

3-way and being the first person in, I'd check since this is going to hit someone's range way too often, and if it doesn't you're not getting much any ways. I don't hate the lead though of course.

As played, I'd just jam over his call since your raise looks like you want a call. There's no sizing you can go to that will work other than look suspicious like you want a call. The hand range you're looking for calls from is AK/KQ, which will likely fold to any raise, especially a small raise w/ your stack size.

I think you played it good. I agree with John A that jamming is the best option here.
