Hero bets $3.25 and is All-In,

before these two hands against this super mega fish i double barrelled him twice on good flops only to have to check fold the river to his over bets on very co ordinated rivers.

i included the first hand to help explain the second. He was always trying to push people off flops when he hit, what do you think of the play? spewy?

his stats 97/25/1.8 46% over 71 hands

GL putting him on a hand. Range is like ATC and you say he's being super agg. Maybe check calling might be a better idea. Keep the pot small if he checks back and give him a chance to bluff K high and random suited connectors. (basicaly use your 88 as a bluff catcher).
He has to be stronger to call you and so a lot of his air and bluff hands are going to be folded.
I always prefer betting to check calling, but in this case surely it's better to keep the pot small and allow him to bluff?

One thing jumps out at me:

Your bet sizing is really bad on the flop. Thus, this puts you in a weird situation where you have to over-bet the turn to get all in. Raise it to $3.50 on the flop, and shove almost all the turns & fist-pump.

Raise preflop? I'd really prefer just shoving preflop if you're going to raise. Spazz-tards like this will call with a huge range, a lot of which we dominate. I think I like that line a little more than checking, but its hard to say. They're probably close in EV.

And hand #1 makes it painfully obvious that you're not adjusting your game to your opponents. WAAAAYYYY bigger 3-bet please. This guy has shown no interest in folding preflop, so what makes you think he's going to fold now? Make it at least $2.00 preflop, if not just shove.

Thanks for all your replies guys, a few interesting pointers that I feel I'll need to include in my overall play.
