Decided to donk lead the turn as board was getting drawier to get value from an Ace

I lay down the turn. Doubt we are good very often at all. I like the lead out though.

I'm not sure what your read was on your opponent but since he raised preflop, it's possible he has an Ace. I probably would have let it go after the bet on the flop.

The reason I led was to possibly get value from an Ace. As I have 2 pair its unlikely if they have an Ace they have 2 pair as well so lots of calls from Aces

He was saying fold on the flop.

That is dependent on villains c-bet frequency. Calling is fine though, if we can expect villain to shut down on the turn if they didn't have an A, which I think we can.

Plus we have 18 cards that improve our hand on the turn so we can potentially x/r. 7, 9, T and any spade.

Yeah the flop call is pretty standard here for reason Seven said. I do prefer 3 betting my suited trash like this hand because we need the extra fold equity to make this hand profitable. While I'm flatting hands like 109s/108s.
