Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 10/5/28

I felt like I had to call this river shove because villain would have more losing hand combinations than winning in his range from UTG.

How would you have played this post flop? Would you have called the river shove as well?

poker stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
CO: $10.09
Hero (BTN): $10.00
SB: $21.52
BB: $10.00
UTG: $11.54
MP: $13.81
Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with 7 5
UTG raises to $0.30, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, 1 fold
Flop: ($1.00) 7 A 7 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.60, SB folds, UTG calls $0.60
Turn: ($2.20) T (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.40, UTG calls $1.40
River: ($5.00) 4 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2, UTG raises to $9.24 all in, Hero calls $5.70 all in

I guess ur getting like lil less than 3to1 on call so I guess u should call. But it does look like aces or maybe KQs but I thinking aces. Was it the aces?

Dah I'm stupid Yo was that against me I think it was? Cuz then I know what it was and u don't have to answer lol

If u play at stars it wasn't but I just had hand just like that at full tilt

Ignore that I just looked it up and guy had AJ .it was same flop same limit.sorry I'm a moron

i can see the reason he called, he has position on the nit, suited connectors, good to take a huge pot especially when this guy opens 5% meaning he only does it with really big hands, of course you have to fold if you miss, but in cases like this one when he made a big hand he will often stack off the guy, but when he misses he loses 30c.

anyways back to the hand, i think you have to call, it might be AA but just because it can be AA you shouldn't fold, or maybe KQ of spades as dot suggested but it can also be AJ AQ AK AT. however when this happens to me i feel like i am beat but i think your hand is too big to fold.

I couldn't have said it better myself, and this is the exact answer to WSOP13's question. It felt impossible to fold even if I was beat due to there only be 3 combos of AA and then 45 combos of AJ/AQ/AK/AT, and I wanted to make sure that kind of thinking validates calling against a check/shove on the river.

Find me a passive 10/5 guy who raises the river here with AT+. Not happening. He has AA/TT here 99.9% of the time. Classic flop nuts, slowplay, shove river line imo so more than likely AA. Also I seriously doubt a 10/5 nit opens AT/AJ/KQs from UTG. It's just one of those spots where he reps a couple of combos but always has it.

Yeah ur right hillbily but it don't say how many hands we have on him. I think kqs utg in 6max be possible but he def would reraise all in he just call with it on river fearing full house. AA maybe TT

It clearly doesn't matter if he does this with flushes or not - point is he's NEVER bluffing, NEVER doing it with Ax, and ALWAYS has us beat. This is a %100 mandatory fold.

Nah, his posts were a decent enough time away from each other for it to be acceptable. I myself do it... a lot.
