Q: Is this standard line, or does BUvsBB or 3bet factor in somehow?

3bet 5.6%, 4bet 0/8, CB 64%, AF 2.4, TCB 8/10, WmoneyWSF=48%, WTSD 30%

You should fold on preflop when He re-raise, raise and call all-in on the flop is bad I think, you should just call and see the turn, if You hit straight than play agressive. I never call all-in in this situation on the flop, that's a big risk!!

I would fold pre and as played call one street and continue if I bink my straight, and would re-evaluate if I hit top pair ott or if checked to me. Most regs play honestly in 3-bet pot when their cbet is called otf I believe. I wouldn't raise the flop, seems like a way to bloat the pot with little fold equity against a made hand.

KQo should be about the bottom of our calling range but this villain seems tighter than the average villain so 4bet bluffing or folding is probably slightly better, leaning towards folding. KQs I'm always flatting.

Postflop I prefer a float on a dry board like this and my reasoning is that if I had JJ/TT I'd always float. After the float if he bets turn I jam, if he checks I bet and probably barrel off.

After the float if he bets turn I jam

I still have much to learn regarding 3-bet pots at 6-max and I'm trying to understand this line you would take, you except villain to fold top pair with this line often at 10nl? Or only worse pairs and ak?

Like I said I would just give up if his barrels after floating if I don't improve, do you feel it's weak?

I am jamming the turn with JJ/TT/JTs for value and KQ and some 98s that turns a back door flush draw as a bluff so my range is balanced and it makes it hard for villain to find a fold with a hand like AJ+. If I only jammed turn for value then villain can just always fold so theoretically we need to have bluffs so villain is indifferent to folding.

So not only is this a good spot to balance your range we can also get villain to fold some better hands such as AK/AQ MAYBE AT if he barrels that combo. If villain checks we can bet turn/river and get him to fold hands like 99, QTs, AK/AQ etc...

This line of thinking is for play vs good players, against a fish I probably take a different line but probably not too different.

Hi Gu3vara
raising doesn’t make sense in this spot considering the dry board texture, why would you ever raise flop with TT JJ JTs, would you do it with another handful of hands for bluff? how would your calling range look like if you raise your nuts on the flop? Also you are taking away the opportunity to let villian bluff 2-3 streets.

-i think the correct play here is to call on the flop and consider betting if he checks on later streets to fold out A highs and low pairs. You will lose vs top pair+ and Tx, if he plays a bet flop checkcalls turn or river line.

Good luck!

Ok thx guys for the help. Call flop, bet/raise/fold turn ok is my understanding from the answers. Against regs I really like, call flop, aggressive turn. Against standard players more passive line is probably better.

To be honest I don’t understand these spots at all:pcguru: I had two reasons to raise 1# He is probably cbetting 70% here, so there should be some folds 2# I know in theory that I should be aggressive with draws, it’s just that I seem never to find right spot to do it.

Q1: Why do you think this is dry flop? Any Ax,Kx decided to raise has something. Almost all of my callings range hitted.
Q2: Also if this indeed would be a wet flop, would raising with draw make any sense because any made hand would call?

This is a 3 bet pot so the only real draws that you or villain can have is KQ/98s and villain has some gut shots with AK/AQ. So there is some draws but I would still say flop is dry. Js10c3s would be wet because villain should be 3 betting a lot of suited aces and you should be calling with a lot of suited hands.

Now this board does hit your calling range pretty well, but are we raising the range that smashes this flop on the flop?(JJ/TT/JTs) If the answer is no then we also shouldn't raise our draws.

Now the example flop that I gave with a flush draw, we are probably raising our JJ/TT/JTs so we can then also raise our good draws too.
