re: Poker & $10 NLHE 6-max: Bluff Catcher v River Bet
This is what I thought at the time. Felt like such an obvious bluff, because my call on the flop could be anything, but then I check behind on the turn, saying I don't like my hand.
After I let the cat out of the bag that I'm not strong, he fires out almost pot. Therefore, he'll infer a large bet will mostly likely illicit a fold. Most of his made hands should be making a small bet to try and extract value from my weaker hands, or checking if he thinks he can induce me to bluff.
Based on my assessment of how he'd read me, I called him and he showed KK. So, yeah I'm overthinking again, as usual. I guess even LAGs at micros are Level 0 thinkers.
And just to further prove how overthinking I am, my intial reaction was, "Oh my god, he knew that I would read that bet as a likely bluff and sized it in such a way to make it for value" instead of thinking that villain was really going, "I have KINGS!!!"
