First time I try betting turn here. Correct?
Villain only 7 hands, but feels too aggressive. All possible indicators up the roof, dunno why it is not shown.

Oh boy, this must be very wrong play if not worth of answer.

Do we have a best hand: most likely
Do we get called by worse: not really
Do we fold better: not really
---> We should check

If we check we turn our hand to a bluff catcher, there is only 2 cards helping us, and probably 6 helping villain. So we can bet for protection. Also facing bet if J,K,Q,A arrives gives us bad vibes of unpleasant game experience.

So we can either bluff catch or bet for protection. Both are fine. :p

If you decided kick off him from bank this is dangerous good if he folds, but otherwise u getting called by sets or strongest overpairs/.

I think you played this hand fine.
It appears though you misunderstand the reason for the turn bet. We need to bet here for protection and to realise our equity against overcard hands, yes we are ahead and worse doesn't call very often but we also get him to lay down all his hands with overcards that can still outdraw us if we give a free card. Its a sin to check the turn, see a king on the river and have him flip over AK when he would have correctly folded this hand to a half pot turn bet not getting the odds to draw.
It doesn't really matter what our hand is here, once he pot controls the turn I am taking him off this hand with a turn bet and if neccessary a chunky river bet. He's capping himself to medium strength hand at best here, all his value hands just keep betting. What decent hand can he have that can call a big river bet once he checks the turn? The only thing to fear is a turn check raise or big river lead, against which you have an easy fold.

Make poker simple again... (my new political slogan)

Check if your opponent is aggressive and can bluff rivers, bet if they are moderate or passive to protect your equity. There's no reason to give someone a free card. No, they won't call w/ worse very often, and no you can't fold out better, but that's not the only reason you bet.

You can also bet 1/4-1/3 pot in spots like this to get over cards to call, which is what I do sometimes when I know my opponent.

I find this most annoying, not only protection bet exist, but it seems logic behind it is quite grey.

If we bet 1/3-1/4 this is clear value bet, if we bet ½+ this is a bluff :icon_bigs

Hey guys, very big thx. This was some kind of block in my brains. I obviously did this to the death when I was even more fish, then at one point my brains clicked not to bet but only for value or bluff. This makes so many hands so much easier to play! Hearths out ;)
