I am not so good at estimating equity during games.

I was playing around with Poker Stove, and if his range is AA-JJ we have ca.35% equity. Cut JJ we still have slightly over 30%. Add AKs, and it gets better. If he is only AA-KK I am crushed.. But I think I can safely say AA-QQ, maybe JJ and maybe AKs. And in that case I need to call around 8 to win around 20 (including rake, so maybe 19). I cant see him using FE here with TT and >, or AKo, but IDK if I need to include them in his shoving range or not. So according to PS, I can call here, if I read his ranges right.

My 2$ raise was pretty bad I think, but I am already thinking I will call a shove/shove myself cause I cant just call and folding seems so wrong. But what kind of raise size seems right, and why? Should I just shove now and get it in (or just take it.....)? And who advocates a fold and why?

Once you 4-bet, you're not folding AK. This is a standard spot to stack off pre against a loose 3-betting villain. Just make sure you four bet bigger next time, since you want folds.

What about 4bet shoving here?
Problem with 4-bet shoving is that given the amount of money in the pot, it can never be a pure bluff and it looks exactly like AK.

Additionally, balance is actually important in 4-bet & all-in preflop spots, because people remember those spots pretty clearly. Also, they immediately see your cards in all in preflop situations, so its very easy to tie your previous action (like 4-bet shoving) to the result they immediately see. So if you want the ability to 4-bet bluff smallish in the future (which against a guy with a 10% 3-bet rate, we do), then you need to keep your value 4-bets with a strong hand like AK the same size as your bluffs.

You're risking 9.70 to win 1.30. Your bluff would have to work super often to be profitable. So it doesn't make much sense.

I don't hate the 4bet shove, it is a fish we're up against. I doubt he'll twig our range is basically {AK}.

Oh. Just sucks when villain flats our 4bet and we have to give up on flops where we just have overs and if we do hit we probably don't get as much action

Yeah, it does. If there was more dead money in the pot (like if the CO called our open as well), we could shove. But in a spot like this, its best to just 4-bet to $2.75.
