Is Default/Rule of Thumb Call vs AGGRO or maybe I'm just being result orientated.

As I'm playing this hand and reach the flop against an aggro, I'm thinking it would it have been better to call the 3Bet and and Check Raise flop If I hit.

Think the worst result was them calling and and being OOP on that flop. Would have been happier all in Pre

Everbody is always misplaying this hand. I would thousand time rather 3bet or call a 3 bet with something like 9 10 suited than AK. Mostly talking bout cash games, but applicable to tournies also. And why would anybody ever check raise AK on the flop? What are you getting value from? This from may be profitable at the micros, but is a disaster strategy at higher stakes with more competent players.

Tournies with blind considerations/table size, stack/blind ratio, ICM, etc help dictate how to play AK. Flat call a raise, reraise (3bet), call a 3 bet, 4 bet, 4bet shove, call off to a shove. Stack/blind ratio pretty much dictates how to play AK. Simplest of terms. If you are deep relative to the blinds, don't get married to the hand. If you are short, pretty much have to roll with it. Hope to win a flip.

In cash games, people marry the hand. When competent players can narrow your 3 bet ranges or 3 bet flatting ranges to AQ, AK JJ+, then that player has become exploitable, particularly if that player can't find folds within that range. As a result, a competent player can widen his range because he getting very good implied odds and he knows what he's playing against- your hand range

Cash games(full buyin or deepstack- 200bb+) , for God's sake don't call preflop shoves with AK. It's a losing long term.approach.

Referring to check raising i said If I hit, then Check Raise. If they CBET, I would have less than pot size so easy CR.
