Naw gotta snap, you're so committed and he easily could have QQ/1010/KK

yeah doubt you can find a fold here given you're getting 5 to 1.

He will have J a good portion of the time for sure though. Sometimes pocket pairs or lone 8 thinking you have just over cards.

I think your play is right and you cant do anything but to pay him off. On the flop, I dont believe he has a J or 88. I thought Im still ahead.

Thanks all for your input. Looks like there was no getting away from it.

iPlay I say that because his stack was fluctuating througout the session due to dumb luck and getting half stacked from stupid play in dodgy spots (for him). VPIP: 53.19, PFR: 23.40, 3Bet Preflop: 17.07 also doesn't look good. His 3bet range had a lot of muck in it. His fold to 3bet % was very low. If I looked at his popup again, I'm sure I could find many other reasons with this guy.

Hopefully helpful hint:
As a practice tool try plugging in some hands that you have questions about into your equity calculator. Try and get used to thinking about hand ranges and understanding what your equity likely is in a spot, and then come up with ranges for that situation.

Post a question like... does this range look correct for said villain based on X stats and Y read?

Think in these terms and post those kind of questions and you'll improve a lot quicker. Just asking and posting hands like this isn't really going to help much imho. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the easiest question you could post, this hand would be 195402. So to improve in this area, get range on your brain.
