this flop hits his range so hard that I have to fold when he raises, right?

Yeah you have to fold to the raise here. The problem on such a board is that he is either folding or raising almost all of his range. I think a C-bet here burns money. I don't mind trying to get a couple streets of value but I feel this isn't the one you want to try and extract on.

Bet slightly more on the flop, fold to the raise.

I would check back the flop and see what he does on the turn. That is what I would call a board of death. If you bet you really need to fold to a raise, since your not beating any hand he's representing.

You have the Ad, so I give up the lead and call @ least 1 bet. Now if he checks back then I am leading most turns. You have a very small sample size on this villain, so just play it cautiously. Villain has a lot of pair+ combo draws and some 2pair hands. These are good hands OOP that will help you sharpen your hand reading skills, as well as help you learn to demonstrate pot control when needed. Imo, check folding is bad, but if you aren't comfortable with playing a big pot oop then giving up might be best. As played, I call and if a diamond peels ott you are going with it. Additionally, an A/J/Q/10 ott I am stacking as well.

This. Like, if he could bluff I'd shove over because he'd have to fold a certain % of the time (probably like 40% if he bluffs just one hand, like 98) and I have an average of 6 outs vs his calling range (plus even then I still only have slightly worse than 2:1); but he looks too passive postflop to be bluffing.
