I would rather 3bet when he raised UTG. There are so much more possibilities for you to win when you 3bet. He might fold right there. He could fold on a cBet, + you have position.
When you just call, even when you hit your ace you dont know if your good and it might cost you more money. If you are just calling to catch a flush it wont be a proffitable play cause you catch a flush 1/5 when you have a something suited and you are getting around 2/1 on your call. Just by looking at the expresed odds it wont be proffitable and you cant count in any implied odds becouse his hand range could be anywhere from AA to 66 and you cant assume you ll get much more out of him even if you hit your flush.
Given the action pre flop i would fold on the flop there also no doubt.

Yeah, the only reason for flatting here is if villain is fishy/recreational player AND the blinds are also so by flatting we encourage them to enter the pot giving us the implied odds needed.

I don't think this hand plays too well as a 3b either against UTG range, although we block some A combos we are dominated often and when not we will often only have one live card. I may 3b this against a CO open and maybe HJ however.

In this spot I'd rather just fold this here unless the situation is as described earlier..

As played, the fold is fine here. This board smashes his range you will have to fold to a bet on almost every turn anyway.

Condeck summed it up pretty well, I would only be 3 betting UTG here if it was a solid squeeze spot.

Weird bet sizing. He min-raised preflop, he likely had a j10+ or a k10+. Folding was a good move, since he bet two times the pot.

Do you have stats on how many times he folds to 3bet preflop? He's playing a LAG-type game, but hasn't 3bet once. Seems like he's trying to see flops cheaply, but I might have did a small 3bet since he min raised out of position.

1 reason why I added Axs as calling. I didn't want to be too predictable and just call with small/medium pairs.

If I give action post flop it will mean ive hit my set? And I feel it could be exploitable. I understand it maybe unprofitable long term with this hand but perhaps gives more value to all my others?

If you want to flat more hands as balance here try hands like 87s, K10s, etc. Even A2s-A5s is preferred over A8s since you flop gutters some of the time.
