Do you think it's worth shoving turn?

If we shove the turn here, we obviously don't have the best hand if we are called. V C/R us here, indicating he has a strong hand, therefore, we have no FE.



My thoughts are this:

The flop is so dry, if V calls a cbet, they may have us beat with a better ace. They may peel with 2nd pair or bottom pair, but I think it is somewhat likely they could have a better A-X.


So, in this case, I actually don't mind checking back flop, we may induce a bet from V on the turn, where we can comfortably just flat call, and see the river.

It's kind of a goofy spot, if we bet the flop for value, what are we getting that value from?



And even as played, we can pot control and check back the turn. We have showdown value, and we have NFD. But when this guy C/R us on the turn, I don't think it's very likely he has a worse hand. Very few combos take this line that don't beat us. I guess V could have 7d-Xd here, but that's only a part of the range, a small part.

I just don't think we can bet flop and turn for value often enough here. So that being said, either check back flop, or check back turn. That's what I'd do.


As played, after V C/R us, now we are in a pickle. I don't expect us to have the best hand alot here. So alot of chips are going into this pot, and it looks like we need to improve. That's not an ideal spot.

Small hand = small pot.
Big hand = big pot.

We don't have a big hand yet. If we pot control, we do give V a chance to bluff us at some point. As played we do not.


And I know it's 6-max, but this open kinda meh. It's whatever though, I play live FR, so maybe I am too tight from that.

I defenetly don't like the line what u played, but whatever u played like u imagine. First, flop was very dry so with hand A3 i'm gonna fear this spot, second opp c/r us so better give up on turn but u call and u have tough spot on river, looks like u chasing for nuts and loose, i was thinking about his range, in most cases we lost stronger ace, but that c/r looks also like pocket pairs 22,77

You have the worst ace. That's the bad news. There aren't that many 2s or 7s in villain's calling range, that also bad news. C betting the flop doesn't protect your hand and folds out all of the middle pairs, getting calls from better aces and KK, QQ, JJ, 77 & 22. There are way more better aces than losing pairs so when he calls you should be very afraid and want to get to show down as cheaply as possible.

CBetting the flop was marginal, but 2 barreling on the turn is a mistake IMHO. As played when villain pushes, you have to fold. In my experience Micro stakes players value bet at least 3 times as much they bluff, so rap the table and say "next hand."

he had 2 pair or a set! I think then fold profitably play!

Once he calls the flop... I'd think it's time to slow down. You've got 411 hands logged with him... So you'd have to know or be somewhat aware of how he continues...

What worse hands call the flop? Maybe middle pair... So other ppl suggesting checking flop is optimal.

Once he check raises you, it's time to fold, and it's hard with top pair and NFD, but plug his range in and see what kinda equity you have... I'm going to when I get a second....
