He knows you have an A and he doesn't care, so we fold. Trips are out there in the open, you might as well be playing with you cards face up. So when he bets into us we can fold pretty easy here. If we had AK it would be a crying fold but still a fold.

If we had more info on V we could make an argument for calling if they were a maniac. Folding also becomes easier if we know for a fact the V is a straightforward player. Not knowing anything about V I by default give their bets respect or take their bets for what the look like, and here it looks like they are saying I have a hand better than your trip A. Guessing V had either pocket 4's or 6's.

V messed up though by going all in on river, he could have just called again and re-raised to get a few more chips out of us. Guessing you called his all-in anyway though.

Easy fold. Pretty much never a bluff, and you're crushed by his value range.

I say we can think about calling. If V got pocket 4 or 6 he will rise at turn, with AJ+ 3 bet preflop. It can be A4s A6s but i think V trying to bluff out us with his ♣ draws.

Why we bet on the flop? Do we really get worse hands calling?

I think you need a different mindset for these type of hands. Your building up the pot with marginal hands.

.............

Do you really think Ace with a weaker kicker is calling flop and turn? ... or even medium pairs... .If we slow it down a bit with a dryboard we can entice bluffs or get thin value on river. Rather than just betting and getting the better hands come along :).

big hands big pot... small hands small pot... People will get frustrated at a small looking pot when they have a monster and tell u ur beat! .. Don't do the work for them sir.

It's BTN vs BB. He's not folding anything to a c-bet here.

Nothing marginal about our hand at all, imo.

If we are known to be aggressive? Sure, why not? The A pairing up lessens the odds of us having it, making his calling range weaker.

That said, easy fold on the river. He's got 44/66/A9, imo.
