I don't like the call pre-flop, purely because from the other hands you've proven you aren't experience post-flop yet. You're out of position and that makes the difference.

I would recommend playing tighter until you have learnt more. It makes poft-flop decisions far easier.

I would probably fold the river. A high will check back the river and you don't beat much else except weird Kx hands.

Post-flop game is good but I wouldn't call pre-flop with that hand OOP.
You got lucky on this one but that's not gonna happen too often. I suggest you to reevaluate your pre-flop play style and cards range.

Fold this preflop the first time. Your opponent is rarely folding when he'll have position on you the whole hand.

Your steal range should be much tighter from the SB than from the button.

99+ AQo+, AJs maybe a strong Suitsd Broadway some percent of the time. would probably be a good starting point 100 bb deep. Hard to play suited connectors in a 3 bet pot OOP we lose fold equity due to small SPR and when we do make a hand we lose out on value by being OOP. As a general rule your small blind raise should be as tight as your UTG range as a standard. If someone is folding a lot we can widen our range though.

Ok, call the 3-bet pre, but know that we want a minimum of a 2-pair flop to continue. Shouldn't have bet pre. I can see floating to his post bet. Check check on turn is good, the board is now sopping wet. The river, IDK, I can see him bluffing there and we do have a bluff catcher. Maybe a river blocking bet by us on the river of about 16 would have been good. Yeah, I think if we bet on the river over card repping the Q it would have been a good move.

Just fold preflop, the BB is the strongest looking player at the table and he has position. Certainly don't call the 3bet.
As played on the turn we are now open ended so I bet what I'd be prepared to call, this keeps me suitably aggressive and we might fold out his overcards which would be a result.
I don't see much implied odds here though as there is 4 to a straight already, meh sort of spot but that is what you get playing small SC in the blinds.
when you play these hands you should already know and understand you are going to have to bluff a ton to make this +EV in the long run.

Very good takeaway and just what I was thinking.

Again, what do you think HE has? If it's overs, mid-big pairs, you will have to bluff your way out or get lucky in this spot. He's not letting go of his control of the hand that easy here.
