Hi Guys,

Ignore all stats lets say your facing an average reg lets say 20/18 reg and he open raises and we call. we both have 100bb

flop is 789

What are your thoughts? We have set... what are your thoughts about future streets?

Should we go aggressive line? Passive line until we spike a book?

Anything you want to add. please do :)

You're asking for generic advice, but you haven't given us enough specifics...

Your position is not specified. Suits on board cards not specified. Your image is not specified. Etc.

Also, it just depends. You are asking how should you play it. How does the betting go? What do you think V has?

In one sentence you say "ignore all stats", but then you still give stats? I'm confused...

I think it would be best to have a specific hand, not some vague example. I don't think there's any way to give advice here. We need more info. You're asking for cookie cutter advice.

My strategy has always been in NL5 to push here until he forces me out of the hand. Dunno if that is the right way though.
He gives us value mostly with made hand at least one street, because he thinks we might be on the draw, but won’t raise us out of the hand but better hand than ours, because we might have the nuts.

Does a 20/18 reg open with J10 or 56? I doubt it and from my experience I've found that to be the case. But if hes from the CO versus UTG, obviously there is more 10s in his range in late position versus early position unless he has exactly 1010 or , K10 suited, or A10suited from UTG.

I would push the action for sure until like braveslice said, I get pushed off the hand. JJ-AA is going to drive the action to get a 10 to call or a pair and a draw to call. Not many times is it set over set, and you're never flopped dead unless its set over set, which if that happens kudos to my villain. But idc who the player is, my action never changes. I'm driving the action unless I think my villain is never bluffing or never has worse then a set better then mine. You have plenty of equity against of flushes drawing that hit and straights that hit.

The ONLY way I slow down against a 20/18 reg is if its 789 all suited, because if hes never bluffing and i think he has a flush I play it slow to hopefully house up.

I'm not fist pump getting it in against a reg but I'm probably getting it in unless I know it is a huge nit.

You could be like Alec Torreli and snap fold a set in a 3 bet pot.

Absolutely insane fold. Has 99 and knew he wasnt raising with anything less then a hand that had him beat. Love that hand

post ur bottom set on those kind of boards

Thinking about it.. having 2 cards of same suit makes quite a difference. Opens up villains bluff ranges and increases our value due to more draws
