unknown villain, according to his stack probably a fish
should I have bet 3 streets? He's gonna be calling the turn with many draws/8x and all those hands should be folding on river

This looks okay. Just be aware that you should be less likely to barrel against a short stack since they get committed faster, and they tend to be fish.

I don't fire three barrels. Also the ace isn't the greatest barrel card since it completes all the ace wheel hands that peel the flop.

I c/f turn. All Ax over cards, flush draws and many gutshots hit. Fish are unlikely to fold 8x or any pair with a heart in it and even 56 is a bad hand as it can barrel us off the river with ease.

We also beat most of what we fold out.

The feared 52! Wait, the 52 isn't a gutshot.... and how does that make for many?

I agree with you though, the turn barrel isn't great. But we turn some filthy outs, and folding out hands we beat is still fine 2 streets from showdown.

if the turn was Kh, would you bet on a blank river?

It doesn't I was just listing loads of things quickly without thinking . Don't let the one mistake detract from the general message though I defo aint barreling gutshot or not.
