Did you note his 2% 3bet stat? Even if you get his entire stack every time you hit you're still losing money.

First you raise 3.5x in a steal situation. Why? Second, he almost 5x 3 bet you. 3rd you called putting In nearly 20% of your stack. This is just a snap fold all day. I dont mind a regular 2.5-3x open with this hand though.

Raise 2.5x on the button pre in steal spots like this and fold to 3b by this villain here, especially to that size.

LOL okay agreed.. I did look at my play and I did see a few spewy barrels and some similar hands like this trying to utilize position but yeah it was too pricey.

Argh!...

hmmm I really need to start using 2.5 if u guys think it saves me money longterm in steal situations or makes me money.

I know it'll have to work less in long run betting that, but I just feel that these days 3bets from the blinds are happening all day everyday when they sniff any form of weakness.

If your opening 2.5x every time then this isn't showing signs of weakness... Its also pretty standard so its not like they just have to be paying attenton to you doing it as standard, if that makes sense.

It also means when you do want to defend your BTN opens to blind 3b that they will, in general, be 3b smaller, giving you better S2P ratio to continue against fish...
