I am not using a hand converter because this is not one of my hands. Actually is a hand blackrain79 played. I need to hear opinions.

UTG 19.56 $ ( 53/27/11)
CO 11.6 (0/0/0 over 3 hands)
HERO (BB) 10.45
Hero gets AsKd
UTG raise 20c
CO reraise to 50c
HERO calls
Flop : Jh5dAh
Hero checks, UTG raise 90c, CO raise to 2.5$, HERO Folds.

Is villain an unknown because we have just sat down or because they have just sat down? Whether villain knows UTG is a huge fish is important.

Regardless this looks pretty standard. The flop is a quick fold AQ is never raising here whilst not many flush draw combos are 3betting. Villain has likely 3bet AJ/AA/JJ vs the fish.
Preflop I probably just call. As tempting as it is to make a small 4bet or perhaps even shove to isolate the fish we simply don't know the unknowns 3bet range well enough to do so.

Seems like a good, disciplined fold, but hardly a massive laydown . Hand valuation is relative, so any holding is worth more in some situations than others. This one doesn't look favorable. What do you think the opponents' ranges are? And against those ranges, how strong is TPTK?

why not 4bet pre? i would have 4bet pre and stack off. as played I guess you are beat most times so it is a good fold.

We don't know unknown villain will 3bet light vs an UTG opener
We don't know unknown villain will 3bet {AK,QQ} vs an UTG opener (you'd be amazed how many people flat these in non-steal spots lately).
We don't know unknown villain will 5bet light vs a cold 4better
We don't know unknown villain will continue with {QQ, AK} once cold 4bet (I wouldn't in most cases).
We'd like to keep the fish in.

All I need to know is AK is a great hand to get it all in preflop vs an unknown.

as played, he probably lost value. most times he would have taken down a small pot, sometimes he would have been called by better and sometimes he would have been called by worse.

With AK we aren't really afraid of much, except AA even agaist KK we have 3 outs.

By the time you will have the info you want to have, like "5bet light" about 200 light years have passed and you folded AK in good spots, you are now down in the hole a lot of money.

You don't care what position the 3bet was took from? What position the opener raised from? Whether we where the opener?

We need this info before assuming villain 5bets light vs a cold 4bet because less than 1% of 10NL villain will do so. Otherwise we assume villain does not 5bet light, chances are we're right.
