Villain has fish stats 44/9 (100 hands), my river raise was prob too large. Do I fold to the shove?

Possibly a strait if he is a fish, very very tough call, even for a fish.
Sadly I call here but I suck at cash games

My thing is why we are not betting the turn, if he is a fish and we feel he is callin us with a worse flush draw why not keep barreling the turn?

Bc the check raise r/r AI puts you in the tough decision spot.

If you fired the turn and get c/r here then we may be able to get away more easily

However seeing those stats I'm sadly calling/paying him off if he has me beat
Bc the chances are slim that he has me beat.

Poker stove anyone, lol

You should never check the turn behind versus a fish in a spot like this, simply burning money. As played I am definitely calling the river. This player type will definitely do something retarded like raise a straight here.

Yea my thoughts exactly. Even a flush hand also with a Q or a J
Obviously we can not rule out the ace, since fish love ace rags.

I'm very curious as to what result came of this. Did you fold?
Vs a reg I may fold.
Fish, very very hard to.

Yeah I folded, and I was pissed offf with myself for making the river bet so unnecessarily large lol, $2.60 for a bet-fold would have been fine.

Even though he's a fish I really can't see him shoving with anything worse than AhX after I made the big river re-raise.

bet turn for sure. River raise size is fine, fold to shove, a 44/9 isn't shoving the Q

Definitely betting the turn here, and I agree the river raise is unnecessarily big. I think he has the Ah way too often to call the shove.

I would have bet ott just because you've made your hand and you have value there. river raise is too big. and snap fold the 3b

edit: just realized there's like 5 comments above mine the same. Sorry bout that.

river raise is perfect, villain isn't folding any heart to that raise that he would call a smaller raise with

most 44/9's are characteristically unhappy with putting lots of money in the pot without monsters imo. im pretty sure with heros ridic huge river raise sizing he tank calls the Qh here, and can definitely fold 2h-Jh. vils river 3b jam is the nuts 99% of the time
