Pre Flop: (€0.15) Hero has A:club: 9:club:

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to €0.35, fold, BB calls €0.25

Flop: (€0.75, 2 players) 3:diamond: 7:diamond: 2:spade:
BB checks, Hero bets €0.56, BB calls €0.56

Thats not the best turn card to double barrel, nothing too scary for villain. If a Q,K,or A pop off then I'd be barreling. I probs c/f this.

A9s falls just under my value range on the BU so I'd raise to only .30 PF at most here and .25 if I think villain will fold most of his hands(is 16% high? I never really look at that stat). I probs dont even c bet this flop either and if I do I'd only make it .40 - .45. Save the mannies when your c bet bluffing.

So you always bet less with a bad hand and more with a good/made hand ? Is nobody catching on ?

with the ten on the turn, what hands are you getting him to fold here? the offsuit ten probably isnt a good card to barrel, thats just my opinion though....

also, if hes only calling 16% of hands in the blinds and with a 3 bet % of 2, hes probably got a pocket pair or something like k10s or a10s. With the min raise, he could have had pocket tens and called his overpair and min raised his set on the turn.

Don't bluff nits, especially in situations where they expect you to bluff (BTN vs. BB).

Unless I notice that they are catching on then I'll just keep doing it. Its the micros, nobody(95% of players) is payin attention. If they are then adjust.

I had brought this up before. I asked if I should raise less on the button with weaker hands and raise more with bigger ones assuming villains never catch on. I don't know if it was WVH or c9 who said its not the best idea, not because villains would catch on but for some other reason I forgot. They told me instead just to raise less on the button so I could steal more and only have to win a smaller portion of the time to make it profitable. Now my standard steal size otb is 2.5x with any hand I steal with.

So are u not cbetting?

Yeah, I'm c-betting, because even against nits its almost always profitable. But after that, I'm shutting down. Weak, peely players are typically great targets for a double barrel. Nits with strong ranges that don't call flop c-bets very often are not.

Ok thanks guys. I know it wasn't the best card to double barrel now, especially since there aren't that many FD's in the nit's range
