BTN: $18.52
SB: $11.53
BB: $5.00
UTG: $10.46
MP: $10.15
Hero (CO): $10.40

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with A :diamond: Q :diamond:
UTG raises to $0.40, MP raises to $1, Hero calls $1, 3 folds, UTG calls $0.60

Flop: ($3.15) 9 :club: 8  Q :spade: (3 players)
UTG checks, MP bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, UTG raises to $9.46 all in, MP calls $7.65 all in, Hero folds

Turn: ($22.95) 2  (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: ($22.95) Q :club: (2 players - 2 are all in)

I'm fairly sure that this is a pretty standard hand but I also figure that its good to sometimes check that what we think is standard is really standard.
Preflop I think fatting is fine based on the action and again post flop I must be against an over pair or set right so folding must be correct.

Post-flop seems pretty standard, most player usually have very strong hands here, though occasionally, I've seem two donks who could have an OESD or Qx, but that doesn't happen enough to justify the call.

What are you trying to achieve with the cold call pre?.....not got the odds to chase flushes.....why not just 4bet/fold?

Unless you have some reads, you're much better off folding pre-flop. You're not doing well against someone's range who just 3-bet an UTG raiser. As played, looks like you can fold the flop. I mean, I think your most optimistic outlook is that you're splitting.

Yea ,i used to flat 3bets with AQ as well, but when you see that ace, are you willing to get it in versus an UTG raiser and a 3bettor?

There are practically no flops that you will love except TJK rainbow,so basically your burning money.

fold pre.

Agree that it's a fold pre-. What can they possibly have to make calling with AQs a +EV decision? While you may come up with a few possibilities, how likely are they compared to the range of -EV possibilities? And how positive vs how negative are those EVs?
