Wondering what y'all think of my play here. Seems fairly simple based on my understanding of the game but a lot of poker has been unintuitive and I'm not doing so well online right now so seeking to review my fundamentals. Thanks!

Yeah fairly good spot to c-bet. We have flopped str8 draw on a flush draw board, which makes life interesting. Not betting flop lets clubs and hands that are drawing to different straights draw for free, and we also are unable to win by checking.

Turn, i really like to just check this. If we barrel and get raised we have to fold a lot, if we barrel and get called we run into some nasty rivers where we are unsure of our hand even when we make the straight.

I would check/call versus a very aggressive opponent, and check/fold versus a less aggresive opponent. We could already be drawing dead, and we are drawing to a 4-outer vs hands like 84, 98 that would use our str8 card for a boat.

Im fine with the way you played this, although i might size up a bit pre bvb

What has changed that turns this into a check? Is it because villain can be calling with many 8x hands that have then turned into trips?
