This doesn't appear to be 10NL. You've taken an interesting line here but I'd be calling it off as played. He needs very few sets/bluffs/A2 type hands in order to snap this off. Sucks that he had the wheel.

What did he call preflop with? 55? Would be hard to put him on any hand with a 5 otherwise, even then calling a re-raise PF with 55 is questionable. I would have kept pushing on the turn because I wouldn't have been worried about him holding a hand with a 5.

I think I would have bet the turn, as stated above I don't think we should be worried about a hand with a 5 in it.

Can't see where a str8 has been mentioned. I would of bet slightly more pre flop since your playing oop for the rest of the hand. If he is a fish then he isn't going to notice a slightly bigger 3bet he just sees fold, call, raise. I would also be betting the flop, turn and if not already all in the river. He could have a ton of hands you beat and overtime it would be -ev not to get it all in against a fish. He could have AK, sets, 2 pairs and even hands like JJ QQ etc as fish hate folding big pp's. The str8 is only a tiny amount of his range

He had the 5/5 lol, Horrid I know. Was really on the edge of whether to call river or not. Also I am so used to playing 10nl I forgot I moved to 25nl sorry for that haha.

Technically, a $.25 BB says the game is $25 NL, not $10.

Hands like this really make the case for shoving the trips on the flop and NOT trapping, which is what you consciously tried to do.

I didn't try trapping at all... I bet 3/4 of pot on flop and checked turn when 4 to a straight came out, I was honestly scared he had the 5.

You shouldn't be. In a 3-bet pot with a set, you should be thinking only about how best to get the money in. I think it's pretty close between betting yourself and letting villain bluff, but since we have the deck crippled, I think I'd let villain bluff at it.

Saying you're scared of a 5 shows that you've got a pretty big leak in your game.

Checking the turn there is BAD if you're doing it because he might have a 5 in a 3bet pot. If you're checking because you think he's likely to bluff it's OK but I'd likely just bet/bet/shove here.
