I play a 10$ NL game with about 8 regulars once a month or so. Thusly, we have a lot of history, and everyone at least thinks they have a good read on each other.

My table image: I'm mega-LAG. I limped in preflop twice all night, and I played at least 30% of flops. I've shown down large bluffs on several occasions, won pots with T2os, ect. So lets just say I don't have as much folding equity as I would like.

Villain's table image: She's a weaker/passive player. However, she does rarely bluff at a few boards, and it usually comes in the form of an overbet. She's pretty tight preflop as well, but still has the hole in her game where she likes to play AX.

======================
Hand History:
Hero is SB holding :qs4::qd4: and has $24.00
Villain is BB, and has $15.00

6 folds
SB calls $0.05
BB checks
Pot = $0.20

Flop: :qh4::9d4::3c4:

Hero checks
Villain bets 0.25
Hero......

======================

How can we milk the most out of this hand? Also, I know I probably should have raised preflop and I should have probably led out, but this player is more likely to fold weak hands preflop unless its cheap, and I figured I could make more post flop.

Thoughts?

If she is as tight as you say I would say call here. This is good flop for you and there is only one thing you are afraid of 10,j. I say call hoping that she can maybe improve enough to bet at it again after the turn. It doesn't sound like she would call a reraise to me here.

I am curious as to what the more experienced members think, as I am not very good at getting the most out of passive players.

The queen is on the board though, so it plays in any straight. Don't know what you're getting at about the quen high straight.

Since this is blind vs. blind, she can have ANYTHING. Including a weak queen that's drawing dead to running straights/flushes.

We can safely rule out JT, since it's just blind vs blind she essentially has atc, and JT is only one of many many hands, even those that connect wit hthis board. Most likely holdings are a)nothing, b)weak 9 or 3, or c) weak queen.

Most likely she has nothing, and I include weak nines and 3's in that because tight passive and weak does't seem like someone who will play this pot for any more moeny than she puts in herself. Call and re-evaluate the turn.

I meant to edit that out because I realized it was foolish.

I say call here and on turn unless she checks/bets the min again. If she bumps it big on turn raise back but if she bets like a dollar then call and raise on river i say. No real draws to be afraid of, however we do have to remember a lot of tight players for some reason like to bet the min on those draws thinking "if i bet he will just call so if i bet the min it only costs me 25 cents to see the next card where if i check he will bet a dollar or 1.50". Kinda wanna know how this hand turned out too

Well, one of the bluffs I showed down was against this villain, so I decided to go "Wtf are you doing?! Betting any *my* pot?" and min-raised her.

======================
Hand History:
Hero is SB holding :qs4::qd4: and has $24.00
Villain is BB, and has $15.00

6 folds

BB checks
Pot = $0.20

Flop: :qh4::9d4::3c4:

Hero checks
Villain bets $0.25
Hero raises to $0.50
Villain calls $0.50
Pot = $0.7

Turn: :2c4:
======================

Where do we go from here? Villain has at least shown some interest in the pot.

Well, you check raised, so you're pretty much required to bet. Here I'd bet about $0.60 or so.

Bet the turn. If she's still on a draw she'll check behind if you check (because you check-raised the flop), but she'll likely call your bet. Get some $$ in there (I probably bet between .5 and .7 here).

If you don't bet it looks like a check raise bluff that didn't work right? If the player knows you are capable of that move I would check and hope she takes the lead thinking you took a shot and it didn't work and are looking to get out of the hand.

Her being passive though and calling your check raise makes me think either she has a piece of the flop or is thinking you are stealing again and likely to call a raise. It seems there is a case for both so I say raise it up again and hope she follows along since you described her as passive.

I decided to take this line, and low and behold, it works:

======================
Hand History:
Hero is SB holding :qs4::qd4: and has $24.00
Villain is BB, and has $15.00

6 folds
SB calls $0.05
BB checks
Pot = $0.20

Flop: :qh4::9d4::3c4:

Hero checks
Villain bets $0.25
Hero raises to $0.50
Villain calls $0.50
Pot = $1.2

Turn: :2c4:
Hero checks
Villain bets 1$
Hero....
======================

:) Oh what shall we do :) :)

well, you've still got the nuts. So call it (a 2nd check raise is just silly)

I push all in and would not show hand if folded to. That way you set yourself up for another hand.

No, we want valuuuue.

I don't like checking behind on the turn simply because if you check raise again--it's silly. Also, if you check-call, you don't think that'll ring some bells? unless villain has a set too, you're not likely to make much with this line.

Why is a second check-raise silly? And why would it not be profitable? Wouldn't it build up the pot more, and increase our chances of taking a larger chunk of her stack?
