This is Villain's sixth hand at the table. He is 100/80 for the last five hands - he's won the last four pots by shoving pre-flop, flop, or turn, no showdowns. I'd raised preflop then folded to his three-bet four hands ago (88 OOP, no read on the new guy).

How's the line so far, what's Hero's next action, and what are the planned responses to Villain's reaction?

Stacks:
* UTG with $10.00
* UTG+1 with $5.25
* MP1 with $2.40
* VILLAIN with $8.05
* CO with $2.20
* BTN with $6.20
* SB with $10.35
* HERO with $16.95

Blinds: $0.00/$0.00
Site: pokerstars
* * Dealt to BB:A♥ Q♣
* * Sklansky group 3
Preflop:
* * 2 players fold.
* * MP1 calls [$0.10]
* * VILLAIN calls [$0.10]
* * 3 players fold.
* * Hero raises $0.50 to $0.60
* * 1 players fold.
* * VILLAIN calls [$0.50]
* * Total folds this street: 6
* * Potsize: $1.35
Flop:
* * K♥ 8♠ K♠
* * Hero bets [$1]
* * MP2 calls [$1]
* * Potsize: $3.35
Turn:
* * 5♠
* * Hero ???

Meh, aggromaniacs are really not easy material for hand analysis.

Basics is that you don't want to do the betting, you want to do the calling, because while they will shove rags, they will usually have something when they call. Beyond that, it's just high variance gambling with good odds. A lot of fun and $$$$ provided your bankroll can handle it.

Personally I would have checked the flop and folded had he bet.

The problem here is that the pot could get very big as he has shown tendences to shove.

At the same time you will find it hard to call a large turn or river bet. Fearing that he has something like KQ KT etc etc.

This just isnt a flop I would want to play against a manic player. You are in a slightly ahead / way behind situation. Basically you are bluffing against a bluffer.. You wont know until showdown.

If he were to check the flop, I would call a turn bet and reasses on the river. That way you have seen all the cards for the price of one bet.

As I say id check fold this flop.. probably im ahead but its just not a good situation to be in.

Makes sense Stu, and I don't disagree.

Gotta admit, though, I was thinking his range included all kinds of junk that a paired board wouldn't hit, so I cbet thinking that I was likely taking the pot there. His call should have made me c/f the turn - I got stupid and called his shove (he had K8o for the flopped full house).

But the points you and Bellgo make put it in a different light, and I'll be more cautious in the future... or just chalk it up as pure high variance gambling... :D
