i think you played it well, but you were letting carp make the bets and were just calling, you should of raised him. I would be worried about a 2 pair from K 9. But what happened?

If your not going to raise flop (which you probably should) I think this has to be a turn shove. You only have like $5 behind and should be getting this in everytime on the turn.

Raise the flop, ahhhhhh1!!!! One of the whole purposes of 3-betting is so that you can get all in on the flop without worrying about sets/two pair. SO DO THAT!!!

Another vote for raising the flop.

Slowplaying aces is only a good move when the hand your opponent is likely drawing to will NOT beat yours. Which means slowplaying top pair is not usually a good move. ;)

Agree with getting this in on the flop. After preflop betting the pot size is $6 and you have only $8 remaining, so you are committed at this point. If you have 100bb effective stacks or less, and 3bet preflop to 10% of the effective stacks or more, getting it all in on the flop with an overpair like QQ-AA is hardly ever going to be a mistake from a risk/reward standpoint

PREFLOP: Played well.

FLOP: Please tell us why you didn't raise. Were you trapping? Multitabling gaffe? That board has 2 draws. I'd make a $5 bet or more into a $7 pot here. Maybe even a shove since you'd only have $3 left after a $5 bet.

TURN, as played: Shove, shove, shove! Based on the preflop action, not much hurts you here except sets. The pot is so huge compared to the stacks that shoving here should be a no brainer.

RIVER: Jeez no matter what happens here, you almost have to call anything. Maybe with $5 left in your stack there could be an argument for folding to the river flush. But I'm not sure how you could with such a huge pot. You played fine here because you were forced to.

That's some pretty passive play with Aces there, bud. I'd be interested to see you explain your reasoning behind it.

ok well results first:

carp had 88. other guy had tens.

reason for slowplaying here: i seriously put seat 1 on ak/kk/qq. figured he might find a fold if i open pushed. other guy i wasnt really worried about. guess im just being to passive here.

this guys af, which i forgot to include, was inf over the small sample.

thanks guys. next time ill push. honestly i wasnt even thinking the draws were in his range. flush didnt scare me at all. i called thinking i was clearly ahead of his range. i still dont hate the play against a super aggro cuz i think hes stacking with alot worse than sets here. villain just showed up with the top of his range. and he def didnt have odds to call a 3bet with 88 with the size i 3bet

if i put them on a big pp then they could only have one club. and i have the ace. so according to my read the 3 clubs means nothing...yes i realize my read could be way off and it was.

I deffently think you should have pushed with the aces preflop, and then pushed again on the flop, you don't want to get sucked out on.
