Let's run the odds
With AK, 6 outs means 12%/24% pot equity.
are 5:1 or 17%
So, it seems like a questionable call since it's 12% vs 17% on the next card.
At the least, calling may not be a no-brainer.
More importantly, 3-betting AK is a generally accepted move? In other words, 3-betting AK is USUALLY not a complete and total blunder? AK generally has 50% equity in head's up, so you do not mind stacking off against 1 player, right? Plus, you introduce fold equity with the big shove, right? So, this becomes EV+ by a large 3-bet with AK. Is that the GENERAL logic?
