If we are in fact looking at being against 23 here, is there is no point in continuing since there is no scoop potential here at all?

This is different than drawing to a scoop, because right now we have the best high hand. If we had 6789, then we'd be drawing to a split, and we'd likely be crushed equity-wise. But here, we're not drawing, and a deuce gives us 3/4ths. So we have enough equity to continue, but we're not super pumped about getting a ton of money in the pot.
