I'm trying to understand hand analysis and it was suggested I post a couple of hands with my thoughts to see if I am getting it. This is a hand I felt was +EV at the time.

Bodog - $0.05/$0.10 - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

UTG: $4.09
UTG+1: $1.33
MP: $1.10
MP+1: $1.12
CO: $5.49
BTN: $5.15
SB: $8.27
Hero (BB): $5.08

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has A T

fold, fold, fold, fold, CO raises to $0.10, BTN calls $0.10, SB calls $0.08, Hero calls $0.05

Flop: ($0.40, 4 players) 7 2 4
SB bets $0.05, Hero calls $0.05, CO raises to $0.10, BTN calls $0.10, SB calls $0.05, Hero calls $0.05

I felt I had six outs with my overcards, which may have been wrong

Turn: ($0.80, 4 players) 3
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $0.10, fold, SB calls $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

Here I saw ten outs into a large pot

River: ($1.10, 3 players) 9
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

what was your reasoning for calling ATo OOP in a multiway pot. Did you think that the minraise was weak, you're getting a good price & ATo is a decent hand or because you think you have the best hand but dont want to build a big pot

The table had been playing loose (this is limit so there was only one raise option) and five-six players seeing a raised flop wasn't uncommon. I generally don't make it 3bets with ATo unless I'm on the button but I thought I likely had either the best hand or two overcards to any pairs. I figured the pot was big enough to call one bet.

Fold the flop. Normally you'd peel here if you were heads up, however, now's a good time to make a fold. The CO raised preflop, usually signaling he has a strong hand. You also have the button to act after you. This causes 2 problems:

1) Your overcard & backdoor outs aren't clean. If you hit an ace, you may still lose to AK/AQ/ect. If you make a running straight, you may split with another ace or lose to 6x. If you hit a ten, you still may lose to an overpair like JJ. You do not have as good a chance to win as you think you do in this situation.

2) The players to act behind you may raise (especially the CO). So while you think you're getting 11:1 pot odds here, you could be getting as bad as 6:1 or even worse if the pot gets jammed. At 11:1 you have the pot odds to call, but at 6:1 you probably do not.

So fold the flop.

The rest of the hand is played fine to me.
