Well I wanted to play 3 hours but only did about an hour and a half due to bad internet scaring the crap out of me when I flopped trip queens in a three bet pot. My timer was at three seconds when I reconnected and I quickly got a bet in and won about a ten dollar pot at a .01/.02 game.

On the plus side my game today has experienced less variance than the other day of playing because I followed ChuckTs advice of starting hands more closely and didn't get involved in so many bad hands... or I was much more willing to lay down those hands if I didn't hit.

BB: $2.81 (140.5 bb)
CO: $1.62 (81 bb)
BTN: $10.11 (505.5 bb)
Hero (SB): $5.72 (286 bb)

The table in general is full of a lot of players that like to see every flop cheap. In this case I didn't mind because if I do hit flush here I'm going to want to play a multi way pot.

Pre-Flop: Hero is SB with 6

CO calls $0.02, BTN calls $0.02, Hero completes, BB checks

Flop: ($0.08) T

(4 players)
Hero bets $0.04, BB folds, CO folds, BTN calls $0.04

With four players in and the possibility of a big pot I wanted to give myself good odds to draw and sure enough I got away with it.

Turn: ($0.16) A

(2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.10, Hero raises to $0.20, BTN calls $0.10

Woo hit my flush and the nut flush at that. I had very few check raises up to this point and thought it might not be a bad time against a fairly aggressive player trying to show that maybe I was afraid of the spade that came down and giving him a chance to bluff at it. Should I have gone for more than just 2x his raise though?

River: ($0.56) T

(2 players)
Hero bets $0.40, BTN raises to $0.80, Hero calls $0.40

The board just paired and meaning I no longer have the best possible hand. Even though I'm still fairly positive I have the best hand. This paired board brings me to the main question about this hand, Do you reraise his reraise on the river or just call like I did? Looking back I feel I should of reraised because the only hand that he probably could be playing on is AT since every other hand that has me beat probably would of raised me more on the flop. I just want your opinions on it.

Results: $2.16 pot ($0.10 rake)

Hi Jas, completing here is probably ok. At these stakes not many villains take notice of sqz/iso plays so it's ok to not bloat the pot pf I think. Flop bet is ok, but I dont mind chk/call either. As for the turn, there are so many draws, that I think you need to cr more as villain will call with plenty of hands here. Min chk/raising here is not giving us enough value for our nuts hand. Make it at least 40c. River is fine imo.

I like leading the flop if your opponents are passive, but if there's an opponent who is donkey aggressive, I think I like check/raising better.

Turn, obviously you need to check-raise for way more. I'd pump it up to $0.55 or so.

alright guys thanks for the input.

I guess the min check raise doesn't make much sense. I mean I wanted him to bet at me and he played his part perfectly so I should do mine and actually put some money on the table. Betting and how much to bet has been a big weak spot for me. Preflop I'm doing better now though and actually making my opponents pay to see a flop. Even though it hurts when they all fold to my pocket aces haha. It's better to win the blinds than lose a big pot though.

Thanks again.

c/r turn for more obviously and i'd 3bet the river for sure...villain's range is so much wider than a fh here. In fact, seeing as villian limped the button (unless loose passive) there isn't much chance of the fh at all. QT/22 are about the only fh hands given preflop action, and maybe AT if villain isn't likely to raise that hand.
