Hi guys.

What would you guys do in this situation?

Only about my 4th hand so I had limited reads on players.

I'm having a hard time figuring out if this is set betting or scared betting. I have a feeling you need to let this one go, and I might have mucked this on the turn until I had a better read of this guy.

I'd say you've hit a set miner and need to let this go. By the river, what hand do you have beat? He obviously has at least a pair of aces beat so kings are no good.

The limp-call from early position is a bit of a sign. Let this go.

Without reads, I'd give the guy credit for a set and fold the turn. Wait for a situation that I have more confidence in.

Well 99+ is a possibility, but this guy's playing very aggressively here. This is why sitting down with no reads can really hurt you.

I probably reraise the flop too; see where you're at. Check-calling to the river isn't going to get you anywhere. Like I said, he could be trying to push you off a bigger pair with 99 or something, or could very well have 88 or 33 for the full house.

If we have reads, we can reraise the flop and fold to a push, or call it depending on our opponent's tendencies.

I guess the guy was sitting on a pocket pair and made his set. Or.... he's one of the donks that plays AK too hard and wont fold them, so the river card was the one that prevented from losing a lot of money if he had set.

best regards

Dude, the best advice I can give you is QUIT playing poker because you ARE a poor player, you stink man.

Just kidding with you. This to me looks like a laydown because I can't see anything besides maybe 99-JJ that you're ahead of at this point, and as was said the A on the river turned out to be a good thing. In honesty, although we have no reads on this player, I find it hard to believe he has an unimproved PP smaller than yours with the betting line he took throughout the hand. After raising the flop and betting hard the turn and you calling both those streets, unless you think this guy is a donk or a real aggressive maniac its time to let this go.

I know that pot is big after the turn but he doesn't know you either, for all he can know you're a calling station and even if you're PF raise could be interpreted by him as a strong A he's making a big bet into you. In the same time even if his range includes something like AT or AJ that he has overplayed so far, the river has now (unfairly in that case) rewarded him. So by all indications he has you beat buddy.

The only case that could be made is that now he's trying to represent an A if somehow he brilliantly understood you had an overpair the whole time so by betting the river big he could scare you to fold, but that is a bit extreme and I kind of agree with the other guys who are putting him on a set that now is a FH. I'd fold, and if he does have TT, 99 congrats to him he played it perfectly. I doubt it though. You got really unlucky here Ronaldadio.

Fold.

Thanks for the feedback guys and yes, I folded!!!

Unfortunatly, two hands later I felt I was being pushed around and this happened.

I think this was a mixture of "I can`t let them push me here" (thinking the guys, a different guy, had seen me fold a big hand previous pot) and "I can`t believe this can happen 2 hands in a row!!!

That's rough, Ron.

With no repop preflop, I wouldn't necessarily have put him on AA/KK. On the other hand, maybe after the previous hand that you folded, he thought you might be someone that can't let go of a hand (he didn't know that you had KK earlier), so better just to call you preflop to get you later in the hand to try to stack you.
