What are the sensations you feel when you lose?
And of course when you win?
How to behave when playing in minus , big minus!

Here I am today, for example first lost half your bankroll , and decided to relax... But I pulled myself together and continued.
Played all back!
From the beginning, was still a sad feeling, but when played and the mood has returned)))

What are the sensations you feel when you lose?
And of course when you win?

The Feeling of loss & win depends upon attitude of player towards game
for example take me
Whenever I lost , i dont feel bad because losing is a part of a game and one must accept it
and at the same time whenever i win i usually would be happy like everyone as i've got a good payout
because the moment i started playing this game, i knew the risks associated with it and would know some bad times & days would be part of it and all i can do is manage my bankroll & plays well so that i reduce loss during tough time & increase profit during good time

How to behave when playing in minus , big minus!

Whenever I or anyone encounters a situation where they seem to be running so bad even with good hands in both cash & mtts , they usually need to take break for week and refresh their mind and start again
I always limit my risk by the way of alloting fixed budget on daily basis for all Mtts & cash tables
which of course requires lot of understanding & control , because as its a game one can easily use up all BR whenever they are going minus which further creates problems . since i usually play almost all variants of poker , my relaxation strategy is to play other games if one game is running bad and be profitable in those

Playing poker is heaps of fun, especially when you’re crushing cash games and taking down tournaments. But what about when you’re catching no cards, hitting zero flops and being outrun by garbage? Nobody enjoys losing, but how you react to bad beats and downswings will shape you as a player.

Whenever This happens :-
There are some ways to control ourself

Stop / Loss
It’s vital that you know when to stop if you’re losing. Winning at poker can breed confidence, but the opposite is true, and losing can affect your game in a negative way. The last thing you ever want to do in poker is to spiral, turning a losing session into a losing week, month or even year. It’s therefore very important that you have a figure in place, either for tournament buy-ins or cash game stacks, where you determine enough is enough. If you’re playing your A-Game and retaining complete focus, then losing won’t last forever. The ‘Stop / Loss’ line helps you maintain that level one needs to stay at .

Practice Bankroll Management
Bankroll Management is another vital poker mindset to be in, and once again, it is far easier to do when you’re winning. Poor bankroll management is such a common reason for players going broke or making serious errors . Make it an unbreakable rule that you adhere to BRM at the expense of everything else in your poker game and you won’t go far wrong.

Think Long-Term Not Short-Term
One bad night should never affect a poker player enough to cost him or her money in the long-term. After all, the game of poker is never one tournament or one cash-game session. It is one long game and you need to see it that way. How much are you winning over the course of your poker lifetime? Hopefully, the answer to that far outweighs the loss in one session. It’s Important that such a positive mindset can have a massive benefit on things like profit & success

Take a Break
It is the advice no-one likes to hear, but if you you’re losing and it is affecting how your play, a more rational choice would be to enjoy some downtime away from poker. The time away from the game can be a great way of turning any bad spell around. Whether you enjoy a game of golf, a spa treatment or five or simply reading a book, detaching yourself from the emotional knock of posting a losing session can save you money in the long run. And, after all, money saved is money earned:)

Volume Beats Variance
I've just told you to take a break, but after time out, putting in some serious game-time is almost guaranteed to sort out your downswing. Let’s say that you’ve lost twenty buy-ins in a row without a single cash in tournaments. It’s fifty? OK, well, worry not. Play 200 tournaments. Play 400. Practice perfect bankroll management and up your volume. Suddenly, situations that might have surprised you are ones that you’ve witnessed a thousand times. Once you’ve seen every bad beat possibility played out, you become numb to them in a way which helps you deal with them happening to you:)

Be a Good Loser
Taking hits to your bankroll is one thing, but feeling the emotional punch that comes with crashing out of a tournament on the bubble, or running into a bad beat when it’s for a top ten stack is quite another. The temptations to vent your anger are everywhere from normal human interactions to splattering social media with your anger and frustration. But you know what? No-one really cares! You’re not going to improve either your luck or your skill by doing so and it’s a waste of time. there are many different areas of poker you should focus on instead of talking about bad beats. Don’t be that person.

Analyse You
Reviewing and analysing your own play for mistakes can be one of the most best to do for any poker player to improve their game . Look into your game and pick out mistakes in every session, especially one where you perceive that you’ve been unlucky to lose. Bet-sizing, stack-size monitoring, three-bets, four-bets and whether you should have called or raised are just trigger-pointers for you to approach your losing session from a more analytical viewpoint. After all, long-term knowledge will always be more important than short-term losing!

This is great! I can really appreciate the value in what you have wrote here!

For myself I used to get extremely pissed / emotional to losing whether a bad call or move on my part or even more so if it was a suckout!

I have been working on this diligently and finally feel like I have discarded at least a decent portion of the emotion from my game. I will still yell an expletive at the screen if I get sucked out on. But that's the end of it. I don't hold on to the emotion and move on to the next game or continue that game with my initial plan.

Consequently, it appears as though I am losing less, in a couple thousand more hands I'll find out if that's truth of folly! :)

I try to not to let my mood fluctuate with the variance of the game. I know that some days I am going to lose and sometimes I am going to win.

Nobody likes to loose, it´s a fact, I believe that you have to train your brain to deal with it, and don´t fall into a spiral that will lead you to a tilt mode.Tech did a great job with this text, and in general, he resumed everything.

It´s a game, if you can´t deal with good and bad days, you can´t play poker. The biggest thing about this, is the possibility of overcome your failures.

I agree. But still the feeling of frustration present after a loss...
And the feeling of euphoria after a win.

i have spent my entire life trying to hide my emotions from outsiders and it really helps me in poker. i recommend practicing never showing your emotions in the real world so you can be in good control of them when you play cards. you dont want to be emotionless, just in complete control

from my own personal experience i can tell you, when i win i am so confident making plays and knowing exactly how they will play out

when i lose i make bad calls and even though im ahead when money goes in i lose big when i fall behind,

my worlds biggest flaw, when im losing i go up the rank to try and recoupe losses, but the swings are so large that if i fall slightly i usually lose my bankroll (which isnt even a large one lol)

When I win, how and all rejoice. Especially it is always an exciting moment when ranked first. Sometimes even disbelief that she took 1st place. Neither large nor small loss, I have not been. But even if this were to happen I would have just a little time to stop playing. To calm down.

I am always a good respectful winner. As for losing. I hate losing like everyone does. But I only truly get angry if I feel I played poorly. I will be annoyed short term when someone sucks out on me or makes horrible call and gets lucky. But if I know I played well and did everything right, I am rarely a bad loser.

Tournament ; When I win some money I'm happy , but that's all , I say let's go for the next one , the same if it's on the final table (although I haven't played on a ft with big money yet ) . When I lose the same , I don't care , even if I have lost to a donkey hand .

Cash : When I win , I'm extremely happy , ohh yeaahh , but when I lose I get very irritated and can very easily go on tilt . I have to fix this . (And I say that I like more tournaments than cash games.... maybe because in tournament s the loss is fixed ...)

minus/big minus : There is no sth like that on me , cause , thanks God , at least , I have been using a very very strict bankroll management (sometimes I wonder what am I free to spend nowadays , but Iprefer it, in contrast to the past ......) , so I don't know how I would behave in such a condition/state/feelings , even in the past when I was spending , I never was in a big minus.

:)

I think the best feeling in the world involves loss and gain at the same table. You know that situation where the villain hits a crack on the turn and you already start to scream with anger at it and soon after the river comes his crack bigger than his, that is the best feeling in the world. How I scream here hahahaha
