playing in a live tourny, i get dealt jack/ace off suit. limped in to a raise from the big bling. flop brings 4s 10c and Kd. i go about 20% pot being first to act. to my right raises to about half pot, player to my left calls, i call. turn brings my Q. i put up a nominal raise which gets two callers. river is another queen. again, a fair bet, which brings a raise to my right, an all in re-raise to my left, ......i fold my ace high straight, player to my right calls. to my right is a boat, K's full of Q's, to my left quad Q's!! don't know what made me think to fold that hand with no flush possibilities, but the betting told me to fight another time.

So you folded one card too late is what you are saying? could have saved more by not chasing the gut shot.

Funny how you wanted props for an AMAZING laydown, but instead you just get burned for chasing the gutshot. Thanks guys!

Early in the finals of our poker league, with a $560 first prize on the line and 100 people still in, I found AQ suited in the SB, with $3000 in chips and blinds at 100/200. The player on the cutoff went all-in for his last $550. I read him as desperation without a pair or ace. I wanted to call, but I looked the other way, and saw the BB looking to call, and a trapping player who had limped looking happy, so I folded. The BB went all-in to isolate, and the trapping player happily called. UTG had KJ suited, BB had AK, and the trapping player had the other two aces. The board came with a king and a jack, so Mr. Desperation raked in a big pot.

Oh yeah, I finished ninth and won $100.

i don't believe i was chasing at the river since i got my straight on the turn. trending the betting around me made me lay down on the river, not chasing a card to the end, i already had it before then. while i agree i shouldn't have chased to the river after a raise was made, i thought it was a decent lay down story and thought maybe some of you might have some to share as well.

This ones easy, I was in a live tourney and it was bubble time, I was sitting in 3rd position and got KK the cl pushed allin ahead of me and after spending nearly 5 min thinking about it I folded them, cl turned over AA.
